September marks the celebration of Hispanic Heritage month, and NYTS will be hosting our panel with a brilliant group of Latin and Latin-American theatre artists. We're excited to share their stories of working and living in our current social environment, and encourage everyone to express their voices. The event will be hosted in English, but we can also offer Spanish translation during the panel if necessary to accommodate our guests. Si necesita traducción al Español, ¡Podemos ayudarlo!

BIOS:
Tatiana Pandiani:
is a live performance director based in New York City.
Originally from Buenos Aires, she grew up around tango salons, antique stores and dance studios. She studied Performance and Philosophy at Florida International University and Directing at Columbia University with masters such as Anne Bogart, Brian Kulick, Gregory Mosher, and Michael Lachiusa.
Her work combines live performance, dance, music, and storytelling to challenge and entertain today's audiences; it is inspired by the legacy of Maria Irene Fornes, Frida Kahlo, Pina Bausch, Bob Fosse, Bertol Brecht, and Astor Piazzola.
Most recently she directed the world tour of La Negrophilie by Zakiya Markland at the Frank Collymore Hall in Bridgetown, Barbados, the Ubumuntu Arts Festival in Kigali, Rwanda and the Kampala International Theatre Festival in Kampala, Uganda. Other recent: Nanas by Leonardo Gonzales (La Micro / LATEA / IATI), DIKE by Hannah Benitez (Urbanite Theatre), El Poeta y El Rey (BRIC), Field, Awakening by Melis Aker (Corkscrew Festival / New Plays @ Signature Theatre), The Last Days of Judas Iscariot by Stephen Aldy Guirgis and Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl (Atlantic Stage 2), Sondheim's musical Assassins and Branden Jacobs-Jenkins Appropriate (Princeton Summer Theater), La Lupe (Teatro SEA). She assisted directed The Glass Menagerie directed by Sam Gold at Toneelgroep Amsterdam, Ivo Van Hove’s company. Other work has been seen at The Bridge, La Micro, Truant Arts, Wertheim Performing Arts, MicroTheatre Miami, The Koubek Center, The Rose Theatre (UK), and Hangar Galleries. Tatiana was a 2017-2018 Directing Fellow at New York Theatre Workshop, a Teaching Artist at the Atlantic Theatre Company and the Artistic Associate at Miami New Drama. She is currently a National Directing Fellow at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center / NNPN / Kennedy Center.

Jacinta Clusellas:
is a composer, guitarist and arranger based in New York City. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Jacinta brings together South American folklore, jazz and chamber music, in the context of songs influenced by poems, literature and nature from South America. Jacinta’s debut album El Pájaro Azulwas released in NYC, and published in Japan under the record label Inpartmaint Inc. She is currently working on her second album to be recorded in Bogota, Colombia in the spring of 2020 produced by West One Music (London). Jacinta is the composer of the new musical Azul Otra Vez(BRICLab, NYTW, The Drama League, The Habitat, Dramarist Guild Fellowship, NYC) as wells as the arranger, orchestrator and music director of I Am, a play with music(La MaMa, NYC). She has also worked as the Assistant Music Director at the Off-Broadway musical The Boy Who Danced On Air(Abingdon Theatre Company). Over the past few years, Jacinta has been invited to perform alongside notable Argentine artists such as Nito Mestre (Subrosa, NYC) Juan Falú (Americas Society/Council of the Americas, NYC) and Aca Seca Trío (Centro Cultural Haroldo Conti, Buenos Aires). As a guitarist, she has performed in renowned venues such as the David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center, Joe’s Pub (Musical Theatre Factory), Drom, Subrosa, Le Poisson Rouge, the Connelly Theatre (NYC); Café Vinilo, Bebop Club (Buenos Aires); Mesón Nerudiano, Benevento Jazz (Santiago de Chile), La Estación (Quito), MAAC Cultura (Guayaquil), Atheneum Kelari (Athens), Vlatos Jazz (Crete). She has toured the US as a performer and an awarded resident artist, at South by Southwest [SXSW] (Austin, TX), Lanesboro Residency Program (Jerome Foundation, MN), Audacious Raw Theatre (MN), Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts (WY), Tofte Lake Emerging Artists Residency (MN) as well as the Westben Performer - Composer Residency (Canada). She has participated in projects as an arranger for Grammy award-winning artists A.R. Rahman (Boston Symphony Hall) and Alejandro Sanz (Berklee Performance Center). As an educator, she has been a teaching artist and mentor for Music Across Borders at Lincoln Center, is a former member of the Carnegie Hall Music Educators Workshop, and a current teaching artist at the Very Young Composers Program for the New York Philharmonic.
